Yesterday Capt. Glen and wife, Donna, joined Craig Banks and wife, Jane , on their boat, Daybreak, and fished the Chesapeake Bay. Glen landed this 7 lb, 6 oz, flounder which was a Virginia citation. Thank you, Craig, for sharing this photo shoot with us.
Although this monster flounder was landed in the Chesapeake Bay, huge flounder are still being netted on the seaside, just outside the Inlet at the wrecks, a little over 5 - 6 miles off of Assateague.
Criag Banks and wife, Jane, joined Capt. Glen aboard Shammy, on Aug. 30. Craig shared these photos with us (thanks) and had the following comments:
"After working a couple weedlines without success, we found the motherlode of fish. We fought fish, 2, 3 and 4 at a time, sometimes non-stop!! Our catch included dolphin of all sizes, a couple of jacks, enormous false albacore and skipjack tuna. Capt. Glen and his mate showed us how the "pros" do it, rotating us thru until we were so tired that even the mate had to bring a few monster fish in! The mate, Gary, was quite proud of his fish, the smallest fish of the trip."
Capt. Glen hopes to do a few more "make-up trips" this season, give us a call and we'll "hook" you up with him.
On a recent fishing trip on board Shammy, with Capt. Glenn, his first mate, Gary, stands proud with his catch, the smallest fish caught on the trip.
