On opening weekend we had 28-guest cancel due to Hurricane Ike. But after scouting the area farms, it might have been for the best. The birds we did have before IKE have moved on. We actually have hunts this coming week, and hopefully we can locate more dove.FISHING REPORT:

Top water lures worked best but the trout are scattered due to such high tides. Most the reds we fooled were only rats. With tides dropping daily fishing should get better.

The lodge has two groups arriving Sunday evening with one group working in a blast & cast on Monday. The other group is down for two days for fishing. This next week is very busy.

Hurricane Ike resulted in every one of our groups to reschedule this past week. We look forward to getting back on the water and reporting fishing reports daily. See you soon!
