Finally I can say we actually weighed in a fish. It was a 2.02# 17" Croaker! Charlie Davison from Avalon caught this fish (along with several other smaller ones) while bottom fishing near the Sea Isle Lumps with minnows. Also, I received a good report about larger 3-4 pound bluefish being caught on the bay side of TI bridge. The mullet run has officially started and it appears that the bigger blues have moved in to feed.
Off shore the Sea Isle Ridge is fairly steady with bonita and Spanish mackerel. Trolling small clark spoons or feathers will work there. The wrecks also have their share of Tautog and sea bass on them. For more information, please check out our newly re-designed web site at www.avalonhp.com.
