Saturday August 9
Night Striped Bass
Trip started out with few fish caught lots of shorts Blues in the mix up to 14Lbs the pool winner was Mr Donald Peters West Babylon NY and the second place went to Mr Tim Moffett Hicksville NY
Night Bluefishing
Blue fishing started off with a pick of fish, and by the end of the night the boat had a good catch of blues to 15lbs. Pool winner was Vincent Murphy from Armonk NY.
Half Day Fluke Fishing PM
Fishing slowed down on todays PM trip. The winner of the pool was Robert Lippert of Levittown New York with his 8.15 pounder. Second place went to Natale Mineo from Brooklyn New York who caught a 4.35lb fluke.
Full Day Block Island Fluke
Fishing on the full day fluke boat today was as good as always with a lot of action. First place in the pool went to Mr Ra of Fort Lee NJ who had a 7.8lb pool fish and also managed to catch his limit. Honourable mention must go to the Desena party of three from Brooklyn New York. Mike Desena came second in the pool with a 7 pounder. Mike had two keepers in total. Dad Desena managed to catch three keepers but unfortunately Anthony caught none. Hard luck Anthony! Another honorable mention goes to Stephanie Talmage of East HAmpton who had her limit of fluke to 4.5lbs in the first hour of fishing!
Full Day Porgy Fishing
Fishing started a little slow, but it got better as the day progressed. We were fishing on the South Side. Fred (Motor) Shea had a 24" fluke and 10 seabass , and his limit of porgies to 3 lbs. Hector Crus took the pool with a 3.1lbs porgy.
Half Day Fluke Fishing Am
Fishing was good on the half day am trip today. There was a lot of action and a lot of decent sized keepers. The winner of the was Salvatore Vigna of New Rochelle New York who caught an 8.67lb fluke. Second place went to Bang Nam Sung who caught a 4.9 pounder.
