Three Day Gulf Stream Pelagic Special
The trip started off very very slow on Sunday with zero action on the troll the first day. With the horrible results for us and the other boats alike we steared 40 miles in the hopes of finding better results. We anchored up for the first night around 9:30pm and by the morning we had over 40 yellow fin but most were small and released. The next day we trolled around and managed a few bigger yellows throughout the day. That night we anchored up and had steady action until around 2am when all hell broke loose and we had two or more fish on all the time until 5am! We also released a 65-70lb sword. Intotal we had limited the boat out and released over another 100 smaller yellow fin. Every angler left the boat with their three yellows and sore arms!! Both pool fish were around 70lbs and 1st place went to our frined Arden Gardell. Arden also caught his limit along with many other yellow fins for release. Jim Parente won the edible pool with an 8lb Mahi that he caught with his new rod he received as a gift from the New York Yankees. Howard Fierman was the high hook with his limit of nicer stuff along with over a dozen smaller fish for release. Howie had success trolling, chunking as well as jigging.
The crew, Steven Jr, Carl and Steve would like to thank everyone for showing up for this trip and making it possible for us to get out fishing again!! Hope to see you all again soon on the upcoming offshore trips!!
Half Day Fluke PM
Fishing was a little slow today due to bad weather conditions. Chad Huebner of Woodside NY, won the pool with a 4.5lb fluke.
