The Dock Outfitters Fishing Report- 8-1-08

The Dock Outfitters is open 24 hours a day…Crabbing remains excellent. Fishing in the bay is improving with weakfish now making their presence known in the areas @ and to the north and south of the Dock. Snappers are being caught, though they are still on the small side, and kingfish are providing fun and some good eating for those who are targeting them. Fluking remains good in the lower bay though many fish are still throwbacks. Fluking from the beaches is providing a lot of action but agin many of these fish are just under the leagal limit of 18". Those of you wishing to rent boats this weekend should arrive before 7AM if you're looking to guarantee yourself a boat…John
