Hello everyone;
We arrived to San Benitos island at 07:00 hours. We had overcast skies, with 12 knots of breeze. It was a bit cool today. The weather was not the only thing to cool off, the fishing at San Benitos was a bit slow today, but we made a decent catch out of it. Most of the Yellowtail were in the 15 to 22 pound range. We caught fish on the Yo-Yo, fly-line baits, and some on the dropper-loop. There is a big spot of big Bonito (12 to 18 pounds). We would pull up on a spot of Yellowtail, and the Bonito would move them out. So we had that problem to deal with. We ended up with 59 Yellowtail and one Dorado, and lot's of Calico Bass.We will be staying at Benitos tonight, and try our luck again tomorrow morning, so wish us luck and we will keep you posted on our events. The R/p crew.
