Hurricane Fay is gone but her presence will most likely be felt for days to come. After a 2 week stretch that saw some of the best nearshore fishing of the season, the last few days of heavy rain and extreme wind are sure to slow things down somewhat. Baitfish alone, might be hard to come by. Because of the heavy rainwater runoff, some species (including even Sharks) may opt for deeper offshore waters. The Reds and Trout may also be tough to locate in and around our inshore marshes. Hopefully this coming week, fishing will remain good, but I wont be able to report on that till later in the week. Everyone keep their fingers crossed and hopefully my next report will offer tales of fast paced fishing action and glorious fishing forecast's.
