It was a wild finish in the 2008 Mid-Atlantic $500,000. As is becoming tradition for the tournament, it was last minute heroics that would take the top prize and have the check handed over to an Ocean City participant. The Reel Joy Came in at the eleventh hour with a 92-pound white marlin to score the win in the biggest division of the MA500.  The circumstances and weight were a replay of the 2007 event when Phat Mann pulled off the same feat. After a week that started out with slow fishing for all of the boats in the southern port, things ended on fire as boats released 4 and 5 marlin in several cases and added multiple blue marlin releases as well.
