On Day Two 42 boats headed offshore and the tail end of a mild weather front that passed through south Jersey late Monday night created a bumpy ride for participants in the 2008 Mid-Atlantic $500,000. Though several boats enjoyed good action, no significant changes occurred in the standings.

The white marlin category remains unchanged with Rich Ryon's Anthracite leading the category with a 75-pound billfish caught on Day One. Dan Paulus's Hullabaloo is still in second place with his white marlin of 73 pounds and Jim McCarthy's Covert Mission is in third place with a 72-pound white marlin. Both second and third place white marlin were caught on Day One as well.

In the blue marlin division, Adam Demeusky holds the lead with a 719 pounder caught on Day One aboard his Impulse V. Second and third place remain vacant.

No changes occurred in the tuna division where Mike Tyson's Runaway still has two tuna at the top of that category including yellowfins of 80 and 77 pounds holding first and second place respectively. Sean O'Donnell's Got Walls remains in third place with a yellowfin of 75 pounds.

In the dolphin category, Anthracite continues to lead the category with a 43-pound mahi-mahi and John Gallagher's Raging Bull has the lead in the wahoo category with a 35-pound ‘hoo. Both fish were caught on Day One.

Some of the boats with billfish catches on Day Two include Jonathon Duffie's Billfisher who released three white marlin while Chip Caruso's Pipe Dreamer released two white marlin.
