BULKHEAD CONNECTOR KEEPS BEDDING COMPOUND UNDER CONTROL

When passing wires and pipes through engine room bulkheads, carbon monoxide and other hazardous exhaust fumes can travel from one cabin to another. In order to prevent this exchange, manufacturers insert bedding compound into the holes. With conventional methods, there is no way to control the exit flow of the bedding compound, leaving an unsightly mess on both sides of the bulkhead. The new Bulkhead Fitting Assembly from MarineEast provides a simple solution to this messy problem.

The innovative Bulkhead Fitting Assembly consists of a bolt-on oval flange tube that wires and pipes can be passed through and two, optional, low durometer boots that serve as termination fixtures. Made of a flexible material, the boots can be cut down to the perfect width.

After the boots are easily secured to the tube with hose clamps or strap wrenches, the bedding compound can be inserted. The final result is a clean, streamlined look and a completely airtight passage. Once the compound sets, the strap wrenches can be removed for an even neater finish.

The versatile Bulkhead Fitting Assembly flange tube from MarineEast retails for $18.95. The convenient boots cost $17.45 each.
