capt's jimmy gahm and dave bender took jaimie borenious of emerson and friends on a day trip back to the hudson canyon sunday 8/10/08. jaimies has never caught a bigeye so we gave it our best shot. we ran over the fish three times under the skippies, but they would not come up. it was very frustrating to say the least. an hour later the man in the blue siut came knocking and it was game on. nick was on the rod and he did an awesome job. the fish lit up and jumped many times, to the sounds of cheers from all of us. we released the fish which we estimated at about 200lbs to fight another day. we worked very hard the rest of the day with only one smal yellowfin to show for our efforts. all in all the weather was beautiful and the company was great. the guys had suhi on a smmoth ride back to mansquan. we will see jaimie this fall for his annual overnighter
