Grumpy's Bait and Tackle NJ Fishing Reports 8/3/08

The First Annual Seaside Park Fishing Tournament is in the books! From all reports, everybody had a good time fishing and at the after tournament barbeque. The winners are:
1st - Michael Smith - 7lbs 12oz.
2nd - Lance Erwin - 7lbs 8oz.
3rd - Larry Amato - 6lbs 4 oz.
Nothing new to report from the beaches. We did have these weigh-ins yesterday:
John Augustine - Blackfish - 17" 3.0 lbs sandflea - jetty
Brian Hyland - Fluke - 19" 2.4 lbs Gulp - boat
The weather guessers have this for today - Mostly sunny. Patchy fog early this morning. Highs in the mid to upper 80s. Northwest winds increasing to 10 to 15 mph.
Mike has arranged to have a mystery guest reporter take care of the fishing reports while we are away to the Tarpon Tournament. We leave Tuesday evening so the first test will be Wednesday morning. Mike and I will share the responsibility for the report quality while we are away. If they are below our usual high standard, it's Mikes fault! If they are excellent, I get the credit! That is sharing!!! Mike hasn't been himself lately - I think everbody has noticed the improvement!

Thats real funny!!!!!!! Grump has been so busy looking at his watch giving the hours minutes and seconds till takeoff that he hasn't noticed I haven't been in the store in two days. Ray said he just yells as he walks by my bench. I think I'll just prop up a blowup doll in the corner and stay in Trinidad for a month. My mystery reporter can only type with one finger so please weigh in every legal fish you catch. I'm going to have to lock him in the office to keep him from running away so a lot of weigh ins will keep him busy. If someone would be so kind as to stop by and feed him once and awhile I would apprecate that……………Mike
