Tha last time they predicted rain we nearly got enough to get the sidewalks wet. Here is today's propaganda - Mostly cloudy with a 30 percent chance of showers. Highs in the mid 70s. East winds 5 to 10 mph. Sooner or later they will get one right.
10 days left in the Fluke season! As I am so fond of saying - you won't catch em sitting on your couch talking about it! The beaches remain quiet. There are some signs of bait movement so maybe we will see a few more blues showing up soon. Some Weaks have shown up on the sedges but they are mostly spikes.
I was going to have a long talk with Mike about building some spec rods using these new blanks but then I remembered how short his attention span is. As a matter of fact, if he wanted to pay attention, he would need to apply for a loan.

Eric Polovina had a mess of blues to 7.1 lbs on cut bunker and plugs last night around dusk. He was fishing just north of Seaside.
The new blanks were sent to the rod building dept. to be built as prototype test rods to be tested by the rod builder. They are one of a kind. They are far to sophisticated for the general public and( for their safety) cannot be offered until tested. I have no idea what they will do under harsh fishing conditions and cannot allow them to pass into the hands of the general public until I build them and spend many many hours on the beach testing them. I will have to be on the beach daily testing them under all different conditions. I will probably miss many days of work because of it. Grump will have to fill in for me while I'm out testing. I know it sounds like an extreme sacrifice but I am willing to suffer for my customers………………Mike
Grump I can build the one you have your eye on as a spec rod…….OK buddy?????????
