GodSpeed Charters Fishing Report 8/20/08

No, I didn't save a bunch of money on my car insurance, but I can report that fishing seemed to pick up today!There seemed to be a few more wahoo bites this morning, so I was hopeful that we would have some better trolling action today. My group wanted to try some bottom fishing, so since the current still was a non issue, we dropped down and had a ball catching mostly triggers, plus a couple of bass, groupers, and tilefish to boot. We did catch a wahoo trolling up the break in the afternoon. For a change, there was a good sign of billfish offshore of us. Probably 15 or 20 fish seen, mostly sails, a few whites and one blue, but only one white and a couple sails actually caught. Still a great improvement.
