Capt. Ray reported a lot of action once again on the Night Striper trip although most of it was with bluefish from cocktail size to the lower teens. A few nice bass were taken and a few shorts were released. Next 7pm Striper trip sets sail Wednesday Night.Capt. Keith reported blue fishing was LOCK AND LOAD last night on the bluefish trip. Many anglers limited out and the sizes on the bluefish was rather impressive with fish over 10lbs commonplace and sizes up to 15lbs!! Those are some serious gators!!! Next bluefish trip sets sail Friday Night at 7pm.
Capt. Paul was excited to report that this morning's half day charter targeting Stripers and Blue fish was a great success with several good Stripers taken and all the alligator bluefish one could want. The secret was diamond jigging with NO BAIT to catch both species. The Jeff Boria group enjoyed a great morning of action around the Island.
Capt. Mike reported a fair to decent pick of nice fluke for most of the day today. About the same as yesterday just with fewer sea bass and a much bigger average size with the average keeper weighing nearly 5lbs!!! Lorraine from Ansonia, Ct was hi hook for the trip with 6 jumbo keepers including the pool winning 8lbr. Some enormous skates were also caught today as well to make things interesting. There will be no 8am boat until Thursday morning aboard the Admiral Frances.
