8/27/08 - New Jersey - Fisherman Fred's
Not much change in the report today. Some fluke, kingfish, croakers, and blues from the surf. The blues are spotty. Seems Little Egg Reef is your best bet for fluke but other reefs and wrecks are producing catches of a few fluke, ling and sea bass. Fishing in the bays remain good with catches of weakfish and a good mix of blackfish, sea bass, porgies, and snappers being caught from Barnegat Bay.
BB and BI buoys in Barnegat Bay is your best bet for kingfish and weakfish. Best bet in Great Bay is the clam stakes out by the fish factory. Remember that fluke season is ending Sept. 7.
