We didn't pick up any additional water level with Edouard, tides seem to be constant and slightly on the low side according to Capt. Steve Boldt scouting today ahead of artificial lure trips late week. Late week and into the weekend, we welcomed Clay C. and guests along with Jim K. and a two boat trip. Get'em while it's early was the motto and all parties managed around half limits on Trout to 20". It's interesting how fast the fish are moving, one day there on something and the next day it's ghost city. That's what keeps us interested and digging in for success, every day's a new day at times. We are continually working deep shell and probing both windward and leaward areas. Capt. James Cunningham located some solid Trout in the 19 to 23" range working points and drop-offs in Mesquite Bay but the fish were badly scattered in tore up water.
The weather forecast calls for things to settle out nicely in coming days and we look forward to "catching up" with Jim W. and guests; Adventure Outdoors three boat group; Appel Dodge; and, Luis G. and guests.

Travel News
Sunday afternoon the kids and I managed to slip off to New Braunfels for a couple of days. You can't go to New Braunfels without going to Schlitterbahn. Talking with Jim K. on the boat Sunday he said "you know we've been going to New Braunfels for years and it's just impossible not to have a good time". I would have to say he's right on. From the folks at the Gristmill Restaurant in Gruene on the River to all the staff at the Hotel and Schlitterbahn, everyone was very welcoming and helpful. Schlitterbahn is a "no brainer", I read a number of reviews on it and they were very helpful. I'd like to say thanks to everyone in New Braunfels that made our stay so enjoyable.
Come home when you can!
