Here is my wife Jessica with a spot caught off the surf this morning. The fishing was good as we had a lot of spots in the bucket. We also had 2 brake offs probably shark and skate on a big hook and spot heads. It was an enjoyable day at the beach with my wife.

Here is Paula and Mike Ledbetter they did really well off the surf catching a lot of fish, they even pulled out this stargazer which will never win a beauty contest. They can shock you with electrical current near their head so be careful if and when handling them.

This was an exciting part of my day my first autograph of the year for Jack. I'm sure he will be on here with plenty of big fish in the next few years.

Tim Hyrkas caught this sandbar shark using cut bait with a wire modified fishfinder rig. They also had a lot of spot and a butterfly ray.

The weather was nice and the fish were biting once again here on the island. On the inshore wrecks a few anglers limited out on spadefish and had a fe keeper flounder too. In the back bay still plenty of croakers and spots and a few flounder too. The surf also provided plenty of action to surfcasters, use small ec surfballs with fishbites bloods, bloodworms, shrimp and squid for luck with spot and kingfish. The sharks, rays, and bluefish all prefer cut baits. Make sure to take a few different baits with you to maximize your catching. For crabbing use bunker in traps to do well. The handliners were also doing well on the way to the beach, nothing beats some blue crabs for lunch or dinner. That's it for tonight. We have a few boats going offshore tomorrow so we will provide a report when they get back in. Tight Lines and Happy Catching!
