What another great day here on Chincoteague. The fish were biting well in the bay and on the surf. The croaker action was hot in the Chincoteague Channel we are selling plenty of the small ec balls tip them with fishbites and squid and you have a winner. Gulps have been doing really well with the flounder too. There are still a bunch of undersized flounder with a few keepers mixed in. Spot sea trout have made a good comeback, we are seeing more than usual in both the bay and surf. I went to the surf tonight and caught a lot of spot even doubles were not uncommon. Red ec surfballs tipped with fishbites near the first breaker did the trick. They were still biting when I left and so are the bugs. Make sure to take some bug repellent with you.
Eddie Lawry on the "Panga" had 5 dolphin with one citation at 30.5 pounds caught by They also had a white marlin in the baits but could not get him hooked up at the Washington Canyon.
Here is a picture of Dan with three year old Scottie Lane . Dan spent most of the time explaining there should be a fish on before you reel in. Scottie liked reeling in whether there was a fish or not. He was also fascinated with the sand spikes and would steal them if you weren't looking. So if anyone is missing one we think we know the culprit.
