Justin and friends fished Chincoteague Channel in his boat this afternoon. Shanna caught two flounder on her first cast of the day, a 20 inch keeper and a throwback. They also caught about 40 croaker again and kept 15 big ones. Shanna had a really big one come off the hook at the boat, when they tried to net it. She also caught a huge ray that she fought with for 10 minutes. It was another fun day on the water, the croaker are biting everything, and it is nice to see that there are still some big flounder around.
Justin also said heads up as they we were met at the boat launch in Queen Sound by the marine police, checking for fishing license make sure you are legal.
Off the surf today there were more style spot and a few kings coming in. Chase brown and dad had 3 break offs on sharks. One of their leaders was bitten off they were using mullet for bait. There are also a few bluefish out there cut bait is the bait of choice for them. Tonight they regeared up and got some steel leader rigs they will be out there again tomorrow searching for the sharks. Good Luck fishing. Tight Lines…JimmyWe have fresh mullet and BIG minnows
