The weather has been great and fishing has been pretty good for the past several days. Our winds have been light for several days as well. Our tides are pretty low which is normal for this time of the year. The Redfish are on the flats in several places. Speckled Trout are also biting pretty good depending on where you are fishing. Trout are hitting Live Croaker and Perch freelined. Most Trout are running around 18"-22" in length. Most of the Reds we are catching are solid fish and we are catching good numbers of Reds on most trips. The Reds will start to stack up on the flats over the next couple of weeks and be there for the next few months as they make their annual migration towards the gulf. Our daylight hours continue to get shorter as we ease closer to fall which is over a month out. Contact me for any information you need on booking your next fishing trip along the coastal bend area of South Texas for Redfish and Trout. I can arrange additional boats for larger groups for your convenience. Contact me for details on multi boat trips. Also I can provide you with lists of places to stay on the Island and Mainland for your convenience.
Good luck on your next fishing trip.
