8/4/08 UPDATED 8:31 AM Another perfect day. The weather is amazing. The Barnegat Inlet is still the best place for success right now where they are getting trigger fish, blackfish, fluke, and some blues.YESTERDAY'S REPORT: UPDATED 8:36 AM Just talked to Chris Smith(Smitty) from IBSP and he said "It's a top shelf day down here". The water temps are up to 70 degrees now and there are hardly any flies. The weather is spectacular and he's going to give me a call if he gets any fluke.

UPDATED 5:52 AM Should be clear sailing today as all the humidity is gone and the rain is out over the ocean. Had a nice 24" fluke weighed in yesterday from the BB Buoy by regular Jim Miller. Our scale was being used to weigh-in the fluke from the Seaside Park fluke tourney so we couldn't get a weight on it, but it looked all of 6 pounds. Speaking of that tournament, what a tremendous success it was. Around 45 boats entered which is not bad for the first year and considering the gas prices at the moment. The winning fluke was 7 pounds 12 ounces and second place was 7 pound 8 ounces. A real nail biter. There were a little over 50 keepers weighed in as well. The BBQ afterwards had over 100 participants and residents show up. Good food, good beer, good time. Thanks to Adam Manzo for coming up with the idea and thanks to all of those who donated their time. Sun is just coming up now and the weather is beautiful.
