Well, the wind is still pumping and wade fishing continues our best our best method for catching fish right now. Captain Harold finished up with full limits with Matt S. and family while wade fishing protected shorelines running parallel to Matagorda Island. Captain Nathan Beabout also finished day-2 strong with 18 trout; his group also got their feet wet. The other 4-boats averaged double-digit trout numbers and a mix of red fish and flounder.Sunday evening the lodge welcomed 20-guest with a 6-boat schedule from 3 different customers. Monday prospects should be stronger for catching with dead calm winds due to an approaching tropical storm or a category 1 hurricane. We have decided to play it safe and reschedule all our parties for Tuesday and possibly Wednesday. As of late, tides are very low. Reports to come. Our thoughts and prayers are with the folks north of us.
