When Jim H. told me after his last trip, "We're going back to tell our family we found a new place to fish." I didn't realize he was talking about moving an entire tradition. Not just an entire fishing trip, but years of fishing together as two families. You see, now we have 18 family members organized together for a two-day family reunion at Bay Flats Lodge with an 8-boat trip each day.THE TAKE OFF

At 5:30 AM the limo golf cart finally made it's last round to the end of our driveway. Everyone was accounted for and the boat assignment list was called out for the last time, flowing cups of coffee smell of breakfast lingering in the air room the great room. Our good lucks were said as the very last group hopped off the golf cart. Now, all that could be seen was 8 sets of boat lights taking off into San Antonio Bay.

RETURNING WITH SMILES

As Matt S. and Jim H. family members started returning back to our day docks, the ribbing and lies started flowing. "Let the tournament begin." Several 20" plus trout were check in along with 2 reds pushing over 27". A matter of fact, Jim H. red won day-1 with a reds measuring at 28" They also won with largest trout. Capt. Chris checked in 20 trout to 20.5" and Jim's red. Capt. Harold had 15 trout to 20" and 1 red to 22". Capt. TJ group landed 15 reds C&R and 15 trout. Capt. Allan had 8 trout 5 reds. Capt. David had 12 trout. Capt. Jason had double-digit trout numbers. Capt. James also did fair on trout with 1 red pushing 27 1/4 ". Capt. Nathan had a slow day with only 6 trout. On day one the entire group had a combined average of around 15 fish per boat.

CORPORATE TO FAMILY "WE GOT YOU COVERED"

"While attending to the special needs of small private groups is a given, we consider corporate groups a specialty. The hunting and fishing lodge is the ultimate location for off-site meetings and team building. The staff at the lodge provides the perfect backdrop for combining business and pleasure. From contests to conferences audio-visual to meeting rooms we make the arrangements that fit the specific and varied needs of the group."
