The White Star had the duty for allday fishing today. The Northern Star was in for repair of a transmission oil leak. I guess it was a rough day off shore, 25 miles out to sea. Squalls kept popping up, wind shifts, a cunfused sea from all the different wind directions. I am beating around the bush to tell you it wasn't a good fishing day. A little of all the right stuff, cod, haddock and pollock, plus they even managed to find some hounds on one of the stops. The halfday morning trip was an old fashioned bluefish blitz. Lots of fish hooked up all the time all morning. Nice ones too! 10 to 16 pounds again, and they were really pissed off! I haven't heard about the PM trip, but I know they were catching them early in the trip. Plenty of room tomorrow! - Capt. Rocky Gauron
