hot weather hot bite reef and inshore 8/7
I fished with Mr King and his 2 sons today out of Kiawah. First we headed out to the reef and the action was non stop with over a hundred bottom dwellers in an hour and 45 minutes, that included: sea bass, grunts, snapper, toadfish, jacks, pinfish, and sharpnose sharks. After that we decided to chase to shrimp boats around for something big. First cast and it was on with a 7ft jumping blacktip shark. After a 35 minute battle the boys had it boat side for some great pictures.
This afternoon Capt Richard fished with Susan Allen and her crew out of the harbor. First half of the trip they went trout fishing and the corks barely hit the water before going under, they boated 32 trout, and then decided to go shark fishing. Went to try for some bonnetheads and boated 9 nice sharks.
