Capt John Friel ran a teaching trip for Dr Elliot, they went over everything from catching bait, tides, throwing net, locations and more. Plus they caught a few nice fish as well, 2 big sea trout, 2 slot reds, and some ladyfish.I ran a reef fishing trip today out of Kiawah, and it was a little ruff but we made it happen. Despite the 2-4 seas they caught tons of bottom dwellers: sea bass, grunts, grouper, plus some nice sharks and 2 large king mackerel 18 and 26 pounds.
Capt Richard fished with the Gutherie crew, happy 70th birthday. First day they they caught 2 huge redfish one 28 and other 40 pounds, plus a slot red. They also caught 4 black drum, sea trout, ladyfish, big bluefish, and some bottom dwellers.
Next day the Gutheries wanted more eating fish instead of those giant red things. They caught some more trout, and black drum, 2 large sharks, and kept about 20 whiting and croakers for dinner. They re a great group and we would love to see you guys again for 71st birthday.
