Pictured above are crew Dan and Joe Zebec,Aaron Hofmeister Jr.and Sr. Bill Lewis Jr.

The PW does it again. Bill from Cape Charles suggested the deep drop at the 50 fathom line 300 foot of water near the Washington. Use power pro 80# and 7/0 circle hooks using squid, sardines, and mackeral, and bally with 20 ounces of lead. They were using the Penn Torque Rods and Reels a must for deep dropping.

They also let the greek family visiting from Atlantic City NJ get in the photo action.

Nathan and Ray Henn with their first keeper flounder these brother had a tag team one was netting while the other reeled the fish in off a dock at the Assateague Channel. Ray also had his first shark an Atlantic Sharpnose on a charter trip.

Aaron Peer, Abby Hoover, and Corby Carmack of Greencastle, PA caught a lot of croaker a few throwback flounder and a ray.

Here is John Kinert (citation mahi), Doug Gross, and John Rogers III with some nice dolphin caught aboard "Tools of the Trade" with Capt. Kevin Merritt

Tom Johnsen,Amerigo Buonanno, and Bill Davison of Malvern Pennsylvania had there best fishing day ever catching over 170 croakers in Chincoteague channel. They also had a few short flounder and some spot. Guess what they had for dinner???

With so many fish coming in make sure to take only what you will use. There have been instances where people have been waisting fish. All these fish were cleaned, package put on ice, and distributed to real fish eaters.

Chris Jr. and Sr. hit the Assateague Surf with plenty of success. They had an array of fish including 20 plus kingfish, around 100 spot, and the 2 sharks. They also had 3 run offs, Chris almost lost a finger print to one of them trying to stop the shark that did not stop. It was an action packed day out there lots of fun at the beach.

August 16th Continued….

Capt. Charlie with Island Queen has been very busy lately keeping up on charters and has not had time to do daily reports. He sent me this in today of his weekly report. Croakers action is hot and they did have a few keeper flounder last week; There are so many Croaker they could not get the bait down long enough for the Flounder to attack.

On 8/9 they had enough croaker to feed an army so they decided to go for some flatties, Daryl Warrenfeltz and family from Waynesboro, PA landed a 22" flounder on the second drift, they had 15 flounder in less than an hour with one keeper.

On 8/12 Dr. Williams & son John Paul brought his group on board and we caught Croaker, Spot & Kingfish. They netted six flounder which were throw backs, what a day. The three friends he brought had never fished before in their entire lives. We had 57 Croaker, 20 kingfish and 30 Spot.

On 8/14 Bert and his son Tyler from Manasass, VA, and Bob Stine family from Clear Spring, MD and we had 40 keeper jumbo croakers. In this picture everyone has a fish on at one time!!! The fish that were kept ranged from 12" - 16".

Summer is always a good time here is some family from Connecticut who came to enjoy the beach check out Natalie's novelty teeth.

We have in our new fishing belts with rockfish, and crabs come on in and check them out.
Another enjoyable day here on the island. There are still plenty of fish being caught in the bay. The biggest croaker were caught around bouye 15 and 20 today. It's been a good time for all. In the surf there were spot and kingfish and a few big rays caught today. Bloodworms worked really well for the spot. I tooka few cast at Memorial Park tonight after work ended up with 2 croakers and an oyster cracker. That's all for tonight. Tight Lines..Jimmy
