Today we left South Harbour Marina with Billy Brown, Doc Holloway, Jessie Holloway, Charles Williams, Charles Brannon, and Robert Johnson from Charlotte, NC.

It was hot today the winds were still and the ocean looked like glass, almost spooky!!

We started off like "gang busters" then the sharks found our baits and we had to move to "try" to get away from them.

Every where we went it was the same, start off good then here comes the sharks and when they arrived you could not even get your baits to the bottom to catch a bottom fish.

But we kept moving, in fact, I ran a circle of nearly 30 miles to get the fish we had. Sometimes you got to do what you got to do to get fish!!!

Although the sharks dominated the fishing holes today, we still ended the day with Grey Snappers, American Red Snapper, Black Bass, Almaco Jacks, Silver Snappers, Joltheads, Calico Bass, Triggerfish, Vermillion Snappers, Grouper, Mahi- Mahi, and yes, sharks, all we could legally keep and all you ever wanted to catch, and then some!!!!

I think if the sharks had not been on a rampage today, we would have done again what we did last time we fished with these guys and that is we would have limited out before lunch, but not today, the sharks made it nearly impossible to fish for bottom fish but we were persistant and we prevailed!!!!

Also, the "PABCO Power Buoy" was a very real asset today with the slick seas, I was able to get my anchor coarse with ease using the buoy while marking the fish holding structure.

If you bottom fish you need to get one, get yours by calling Mike at (843)665-5613, tell him Capt Butch sent you and save $50.00 per marker.

Till next time, God Bless Everyone!!!!
Fish On!!!!
Capt Butch
