Today was one of those weather days we as fishermen dream about.
Cooler temps, lower humidity, and calm seas. Plus the fish were biting!!!!
We were fishing today with Bryan Detandt from Greenville,SC Ray Wiggins and Justin Miller from Fountain Inn,SC Trevor Castlebury from Donald,SC, and Darrell Koon from Grey Court,SC
It was a busy day all day with the bottom fish in the high 360's. The lite line only produced one King Mackeral and one Mahi-Mahi, but we didn't really mind because there wasn't much time to work a lite line anyway.
We ended the day with several limits of different species and complex species. We had Joltheads, B-Liners, Black Bass, Lizard fish, Grey Snappers, Triggerfish, Barracuda, Amber Jacks, Almaco Jacks, Grouper, Mahi-Mahi, Ringtails, Squirrell Fish, Sharks, King Mackeral and Tripletails.
I didn't see any Spanish Mackeral on the way out this morning or on the way back in, but I did hear another Captain say he had seen some jumping about 5 miles out of Lockwood Folly inlet.
The water is cleaning up fast and I would expect things to be back on schedule real soon…
Will let you know what I see and do tomorrow. Will be back offshore again. May go east, not sure yet, only thing, if I go south again I will have that following sea on the way in tomorrow evening and that is so nice after a long day of fishing.
What ever I do, you can bet it will be a great day, I am fishing with great friend's Dale Foster (no kin) and his wife Ella and to top that off, Capt Chris is going to help me tomorrow.
Yep, I'm going to be in heaven on earth once again tomorrow!!
Till next time, God Bless Everyone!!!
Fish on!!!!
Capt Butch
