With the ENE winds still blowing and todays group wanting to only go offshore, I made the decision to call todays trip off.
The seas at the tower buoy right now (9AM) are 3.9 feet every 5 seconds, looks like I made the right decision, those kind of seas are no fun to "try" to fish in.
Not only that, I advised them what the East wind does for the fishing down here, and if we did go that most likely it would just probably be an expensive boat ride!!!
I hated to cancel the trip on them,or on anyone else for that matter, but when conditions are like this I would rather you save your money for calmer seas and a better wind when the fish will bite better, and on an East wind, they don't do much biting!!!
And If the chances are great that they aren't going to bite, why go "fishing" when you can wait for a better day and turn your fishing trip into a "catching trip"..
I know it's not always about what or how much you catch, but it is a fishing trip, and bringing home some fresh fish dinners is still a nice thing to do!!!
And with a 4 foot sea and an east wind, you are going to have a miserable trip and most likely no fish, that's not any fun!!!
Hopefully things will be better tomorrow, if they are, we will have an update on the fishing….
Till next time, Blessings to everyone!!!!
Fish On!!!!
