Full Day Porgies and Sea Bass
We had a good showing of the finest kind of truly JUMBO porgies to 4lbs today, which continued to mkae for good fishing on the Southside of Montauk Pt. In addition, a decent showing of sea bass to 3lbs, a couple of keeper fluke and a 31" striped bass sent everyone home happy. Chris P from Astoria nabbed the biggest porgy and took home the pool. Chris also had 15 sea bass to 3lbs.
Half Day Fluke Fishing PM
We had very good fishing, rods were bent constantly with lots and lots of action with a few keepers thrown in. Everyone was smiling as fish was flying over the rails. Mike Spagnola from Staten Island won the pool yet again with a nice 5.7lbs fluke.
Half Day Fluke Fishing AM
Fishing this morning was good with plenty of action and a few keepers. The pool winner was Mike Spagnola Jr of Staten Island who had a 5.35lb fluke. An honourable mention must also be given to 8 year old Matthew Spagnola. Matthew caught a 4.65lb fluke which was the second biggest fish caught!!
