Night Striped Bass
Mate Eric H. reports fishing was picky for bass last nite, with plenty of bites nontheless. Lots of blues coming over the rail. Carlos Marte from Bayshore NY won the pool with a 24lbs striper, and Bryan Dalmasse from Southampton NY got second place.
Full Day Porgies and Sea Bass
Porgy fishing was a little tough in the early morning due to a ground swell left over from yesterday's storm. Fishing did improve as the day progressed and the swell subsided. Artie Blenk had his limit of porgies and a few keeper seabass. Virginia Saltpetrier caught her limit and a bunch of seabass as well. The pool winner was Ray Paul who had a 3.4lbs porgy.
Half Day Fluke Fishing PM
Mate Brian from the Starship reports that fluke fishing was pretty good today. Michael Koerner from Bayport won the pool with a 4.5lbs fluke.
Half Day Fluke Fishing AM
Fishing started off on the slow side until we got a drift going, after which action was very consistent with lots of throwbacks. The pool winner was Jim Schoen from Yorktown NY with a 4lbs fluke.
