Flounder fishing is still good in the Back Bays. Candice Dunn, age 13 of Shawcrest, NJ weighed in a 3 pound 6 ounce Flounder caught in the Back Bays of Wildwood. Bruce Fish of Wildwood, NJ weighed in a 5 pound Flounder caught on a minnow near Richardson Channel and the ICW. Bill Anderson of Limerick, PA pulled in a 5 pound 9 ounce Flounder from the back waters. Frank and Colleen Scirotto of Cherry Hill, NJ weighed in a 6 pound Flounder from the Back Bay. On the Kayak Fishing Scene, Tony Stefano of Drexel Hill, PA had two keeper Flounder caught from his Hobie Kayak. Frank Scirrotto of Cherry Hill, NJ had three Flounder to 4 pounds caught from his Hobie Mirage Outback Kayak. Flounder are starting to show at the Old Grounds and Reef Site 11. Flounder action in the Delaware Bay has picked up with nice catches coming from the Punk Grounds area over near the shipping lanes. Andy Beccari of North Wildwood, NJ weighed in a 4 pound 5 ounce Flounder caught in the
Delaware Bay near 9 and 10 Buoy.
The Bluefin Tuna bite has turned on at 19 Fathom Lump and Massey's Canyon, especially while chunking. Some fish were caught while trolling, but the chunking bite was red hot. Gaffer Dolphin are mixed in with the Tuna. Robert Christopher of Hammonton, NJ weighed in an 88 pound Bluefin Tuna caught at 19 Fathom Lump while chunking on his boat Cara Mia. Alan Ritter of Wildwood, NJ weighed in a 81 pound Bluefin caught while trolling on the Big Bully out of Wildwood, NJ. At Five Fathom Bank between FFB and 4 FB are all the Bluefish you want while trolling Clark Spoons.
Mike Lobianco and Billy McFetridge reported 9 Yellowfin tuna, 8 Dolphin and 8 Tilefish from the Wilmington Canyon on their Carlyssa out of Wildwood, NJ.
