Flounder are starting to move out of the Back Bays and fish are being caught around the inlets. Reef action was still slow this week, however Flounder are being caught at the Old Grounds and Site 11. There is an excellent Bluefin Tuna bite at the 19 Fathom Lump, and nearby lumps and humps. Fish are being caught while chunking and while Butterfly Jigging.
Stephen Hanscom, age 7, of Voorhees, NJ weighed in a 4 pound 3 ounce Flounder caught on an Aqua Clear rig near Cold Spring Inlet.
Crabbing was good this week with some nice crabs caught on the Full Moon.
