It takes a lot to surprise me. Bob Wenzel did. He weighed in a 7.0 pound 26" fluke that he caught in the area of the fish factory this morning. Nice flatty, not the biggest fish ever and surely not to be unexpected. HOWEVER, how about the SEVEN other fish over three pounds in the cooler to make up a LIMIT CATCH of fluke in the Great Bay this morning. I would say 90 percent of the folks reading this report HAVE NOT caught EIGHT keepers in the season of 2008! What happened? I bet the South wind creating really cold ocean temperatures PUSHED BIG FLUKE into the Great Bay. Ryan Belk and Ben Adams had two big fluke today too. Bens fluke was 8.1 28" and Ryans fluke was 4.3 pounds 24". The only had the two keepers. OK, here is the kicker. Bobs fluke were caught on BERKLEY GULP BLOODWORMS!
The Sunshine Foundation fluke tourney is looking good with the arrival of FLUKE. Last chance to get in the tourney is at the Captains meeting Friday Night at Great Bay Marina 6:00pm. We can take payments at the store up until the Capt. meeting.
