Happy Fourth of July!
Mark Kuzinski swung on in with his 8.1 pound 26 and a half" fluke which he caught up in the intercoastal waterway on the bay side of Beach Haven. Other anglers were able to find the occasional keeper in the intercoastal anywhere from the 132 and around the corner a bit towards Brigantine from the 139 marker. Seems most of the fish are still being caught in the shallows as opposed to the deeper troughs by 126 marker.
Just one lack of activity report from an angler making the loop around the 28 mile wreck and 750 square. No boats and no fish either. Wilmington is the only tuna action I have heard of so far. There has been a lack of shark anglers too. Freezer is packed with the mackerel chum and mackerel flats, but I think a lot of anglers are waiting for some other guinea pig to find sharks before committing $300.00+ to fuel.
