Wednesday we had Wes and Carrie and their friends fishing with us from Maryland. We left the dock with no wind and flat seas and arrived at the fishing grounds in the same condition. Calm seas and light wind all day long made for a beautiful day on the water.

They wanted to catch a couple Mahi's and maybe a billfish of some sort.

So, we picked away at the Mahi's throughout the day. Everyone got to reel a few in and get a little blood on them.
We had a Sailfish try us on the right short around lunch time. I fed him but he dropped it. I cranked it back up but when I fed him it got wrapped up with the flat line. So as I am cranking it back up as fast as I can, the Sailfish is jumping in the air after the bait I am cranking in. Captain Brian got his dink over to him and hooked him off the bridge. Another one for the Captaino.
Carrie started cranking on him for a few minutes but she wimped out and gave the rod over to Wes who brought it home for us. A few minutes later we released a Sailfish.

We ended up with 15 Mahi's and 1 Sailfish release.
