Capt. Devlin
Venice, LA USAI guesse that storm season is here. Unfortunatly I made a bad call and called some boats off today due to a forcast of 3-5 and building. Wouldn't you know it, it is pretty calm. Sorry guys. The weather seems to have moved back a day and tommrow looks like it will now be the 4-6 that the subscription sites were calling for today. I hope that this storm stays on its forcasted track and stays well south of us.
While I took most of the week off to be a Dad and watch my daughter's team win their softball championship, the rest of the crew was busy fishing hard. Most of the week the fishing was solid with some very nice Yellowfin hitting the dock. Friday was the only exception with the tuna going on the chew early and quiting just as fast. From what they told me, if you had your baits in the right spot, you scored but it was just that quick. Saturday they stayed on the bite a bit longer and Sunday it was back to normal.
The highlight of the weekend was the Swordfish that Peace and crew brought to the dock on Sunday Morning. The bohemoth weighed in at 291 and was fought by just one angler for over two hours. She should make number two in the state. Congrats you guys, that is one fine fish and some seriously good eats.
We still have some openings for the rest of the Summer and we are starting to book for the fall. Give us a call to get in on the action.
