Reel Peace Charters Fishing Report- 7-24-08

Venice, LA USAI just got in from an early day of bottom fishing. It started out a bit bouncey but it was starting to calm as we made our way back in. The action was fast but there was a bunch of shorts mixed in. With three youngsters on the boat, the fast action was just what we wanted.

As for the all important question. The River itself is shut down. You may not cross the river and the jump is closed as well. Tiger pass, from grand pass on is open as of now. We have heard rumors that it may be shut again but that is a rumor. Red pass was the only open pass this morning. We were allowed to go in and out of the marina but we could not turn towards the river. That is the most up to date info that I have as of now.

We have one boat open this weekend if anyone is game. We had a crew that is now involved in the cleanup and they don't think that they will be freed up by then. Give us a call if you are interested. We also have a few openings next week durring the week.
