Venice, LA USACongrats to the crew of the Funny Shoes on that Pig of a yellowfin. You guys always manage to pull it off in big fashion.
The Tuna fishing has been very dependant on two things, Good bait and the presance of good water. It seems that the tuna really prefer blue water this year. Unfortunatly, the blue seems to have pushed out. Hopefully it will turn around today and push back in. We had several boats out yesterday but I was land locked and at the ball park watching my oldest Daughter play in her soft ball play offs, so I don't have a true report. Leading up to it, the tuna fishing was a bit mixed. If you were on them, you did well but if you weren't, it was like being in a dessert. The Bottom fishing was on fire everywhere but you needed a lot of weight to get your bait down. Sunday, we used 32 ounces to catch snapper and grouper. The bottom fish were so hungery that they would have eaten anything that you put in front of them.

We have one 26 footer open on Sunday and a few sporadic openings next week including a Saturday with Peace. Give us a call to plan your Summer trip. We also have some openings in Augest that we would love to fill.
