Fishing this past week has been outstanding. Bottom fishing in both the Rapp and the Piankitank remains strong on some good quality # 2 spot. A few #1's are showing now and the quality should get even better as the summer marches on. Trout have made a strong showing this past week as well but very few that make the 12 inch minimum. Puppy drum are also in the mix now as well. Some spanish Mackerel can still be had in the windmill area along with some small blues but the mother load is up the bay a bit. Still within reach!
Flounder season is closed until Aug 1st but the bite was great up until the closure.
All in all its been a great week of fishing! Bottom fishing has yielded catches of spot with the averages well over 100 per man. The only negative this week has been the heat!
Good luck, Jeff
