Offshore yellowfin tunas entered the picture. Several boats caught some good sized yellowfins. Marlin were active. Released were 5 blue marlin 18 white marlin and 4 sailfish. One grand slam was acheived consisting of one blue marlin, one white marlin and a sailfish with a sailfish to spare. Of the tunas there was a 92 pounder, a 86 pounder and a 90. In the gaffer dolphin category there was a 41 pounder and a 60. Deep bottom fishing produced a lot of tile fish and sea bass Inshore trolling for spanish mackerel and tailor bluefish was very good. One boat got 3 red drum in addition to spanish and blues. Open boats did very well on dolphin, sharp nosed sharks and speckled trout. The trout bite was active but brief it would have been great if it had lasted longer. One open boat tackled cobia on fly fishing tackle. Miss Oregon Inlet croakers in the morning croakers and sea mullet in the afternoon. An interesting catch was made on this day that I left off. Apologies offered bill
