In the darkness we depart on this day of 25 kph trades going to my favorite buoy. At the buoy we jigged and caught 2 small aku and ran one live. When Scot baited he had lots of hits before he hooked one shibi and one mahi, the mahi got lucky and the shibi came in the boat. Then it was slow but steady shibi bite and these folks did great on all these big shibi, the biggest one Cheryl landed was 58 pounds, a great fight on light line. We had a shark maul one of our shibi on the way in leaving us a big head and some tail. A rough day, just what the fish like, and these folks handled real well good going. A pleasure to have aboard.
