Capt. Don reported a quiet half day AM on the fishing front with just a few nice keepers but a great turnout of anglers. Unfortunately the big swell and dirty water had thrown off the fishing.Capt. Mike reported an okay day along the beach on the 8am to 3pm full day fluke boat. The big groundswell and dirty water from yesterday's weather was to blame but anglers still put together a fair catch of nice fish including three fish in the 5 to 7lb range. Quite a few shorts especially later in the day as the swell subsided indicating things on their way back to normal.
Capt. Mike reported that things bounced right back for tonight's PM 1/2 trip with the swell way down and water clearing up nicely and the fluke responded with a nice pick of good size keepers all around the boat. A few big scup and nice size sea bass mixed right in. Nine and a half year old Alan from Pomfrett,Ct had the night's big fish with a fine 6lb plus slab. Next 8am full day fluke boat is the Admiral Frances tomorrow morning.
Capt. Rich reported a good day on the offshore 7am fluke/sea bass boat. A nice mix of big fluke and sea bass along with some bluefish and a few scup. Hi hook had a full limit of fluke while Mr. Kim had 5 good fish to take home with Ray from NY taking the pool with a whopper of 9lbs. Considering the tough conditions the fishing was much better than expected. Next 7am boat is the Gail Frances tomo
