Capt. Don reported the AM 1/2 was on the quiet side this morning. A few nice fish taken but overall the fluke just did not cooperate.
Capt. Mike reported another awesome day along scenic Rhode Island's South Coast. From beginning to end anglers had a nice steady pick of fluke and again a lot of real quality fish taken with 4 to 5 lb fish quite common and a few larger ones up to 8lbs. A bunch of keeper sea bass today as well. Earlier in the day tandem bait rigs and the hi lo spro combinations could not be beat but by the end of the day the rental rods were hot The fluke were quite spread out all around the boat.. We had a nice group of anglers today and just about every one went home with fresh fluke. Many anglers had 4 to 6 keepers apiece today. Angler hi lights include the following but are not limited to : Eben York took home 5 nice fluke to 4lbs and a nice sea bass today. Ann Marie from Norwich was had 6 nice keepers to 4lbs today and a good size sea bass while Dan Harding went home with 5 keepers to 4.5lbs out of a catch of 22 fish. Tony from Ct had 4 keepers to 4lbs out of a catch of 20 plus fish. Another fellow had 5 keepers out of a catch of 16 fish including jumbos of 7, 5.5 and 4.5lbs and a good size sea bass. Tony from Long Island had 5 keepers including jumbos of 4.5 and the pool winning 8lbr. Not as many shorts today just lots of quality fish. Over 80 keeper fluke came aboard the Admiral Frances today. Next 8am boat will set sail tomorrow morning aboard the Admiral Frances.
Capt. Rich reported on the 7am fluke boat the fishing rebounded in a big way. The bite is back on agreed both Capt. Kyle Blount and Capt. Rich! Several limit catches today and anglers brought lots of 4 to 5.5 lb fish to the net with the largest tipping the scales at 6.5lbs A handful of nice sea bass today as well. The classic hi lo rigs were the top producers although many nice fish were caught on traditional spinner rigs. A few bluefish in the catch as well today. Just under 100 keepers were brought to the net today aboard the Gail Frances. The action was steady through the day. Next 7am boat sails tomorrow morning aboard the Gail Frances.
Capt. Don reported an excellent half day PM trip aboard the Admiral Frances this evening. Anglers enjoyed a nice pick of fluke of various sizes on each and every drift with lots of nice fish in the 3.5 to 4.5lb range mixed in. Eben York nailed 3 keepers tonight and the pool winner of 6lbs out of a catch of 16 fish and Eben also took home a jumbo sea bass. Nicky Blount had 3 nice keepers to 4lbs out of a catch of 10 fish while another angler caught 6 keepers out of a total catch of 20 fish including fish of over 5lbs and a couple 4lbrs. Several other jumbo sea bass this evening with the largest tipping the scales at 3.5lbs. Both the tandem bait rig and hi lo spro combinations were effective and the rental rods also brought some good fish to the net.
