Capt. Ray reported the Striper fishing last night was on the quiet side but anglers had plenty of action with good size bluefish to 10lbs. On recent Striper trips there has been amazing amounts of squid around with some anglers jigging up plenty of tasty mollusks.

Capt. Don reported a solid AM 1/2 trip today. Not quite the crush fest as yesterday was but good nonetheless with quite a few quality fluke to 5lbs brought to the net. A few big sea bass to 3lbs and lots of shorts kept rods bent up and down the rail throughout the trip. Hi hook for the morning was fifteen year old Taylor Toussaint from Coventry, RI who had 4 nice size keepers. Way to go Taylor!!
13 PLUS LB DOORMAT TAKEN ON THE ADMIRAL FRANCES TODAY!!!!!!

Capt. Mike reported a good day of fluking on the 8am full day fluke boat. A lot of quality fluke spread all around the boat today with many anglers getting 3 to 5 keepers apiece plus catching 10 to 25 shorts apiece. Angler hi lights include but are not limited to the following: Larry from Cumberland who had 5 keepers to take home today and Larry had 3 fish over 4lbs. Pak from NYC took home 5 good keepers and a nice sea bass today but it was Mr. Pak's friend who made the big headlines today. Around noontime Jung G Pak hooked into a good fish, fishing under the boat, rod doubled right over. Five minutes later the gargantuan tan shape begrudgingly appeared from the depths and sandy home then Capt. Chris efficiently slid the net underneath the fluke of a lifetime. Back at the dock on a certified scale the 30 inch monster weighed in at 13.04lbs!!! This teen size doormat fell victim to a 3z white spro jig. Who says trophy fluke are not down on the beach!! Jung G. Pak hails from Lambertville, NJ and works at the Little Heaven Nursing Home and he went home with a total of 5 good fluke today. All terminal gear was working today but the spro jigs and buck tails definitely having an edge today. Some good size sea bass and some little ones. Next 8am full day boat sails tomorrow morning aboard the Admiral Frances.
Capt. Paul reported the Mike Bachman full day Fluke/Sea bass charter was quite successful today with a great mix of nice size fluke to 5.5lbs and sea bass to 3lbs all well within sight of the Charlestown Breach way. Lock and load action with the shorts kept rods bent and anglers at the rail all day long. The Capt. Frances is great for small groups of 7 to 25 anglers and can accommodate half and full day charters. Call the office for availability.

EXCELLENT SEABASS FISHING ABOARD THE GAIL FRANCES TODAY!!!!

Capt. Rich reported more and more sea bass showing up on the 7am Jumbo Seabass and fluke boat. Today there were a half dozen sea bass over 5lbs with the largest over 6lbs. Plenty of good size fluke to 7lbs as well with the 7lb pool winner taken by Dan Melino who went home with 5 keeper fluke and a half dozen keeper sea bass including two over 5lbs. Mr. Kim had his full limit of good size fluke including a few jumbos over 4lbs. Every group on the boat went home with a nice bag of fluke and sea bass fillets today. Hi hook on the sea bass was 7 keepers. A faster drift today but it did not deter the sea bass and fluke from jumping all over the baits. Standard tandem bait rig or hi lo bait rig fished on plain hooks with just squid and spearing were the tickets to success today. The past few days has seen some of the best sea bass fishing for both numbers and size in the last few years for this time of year. And of course the fluking remains rock solid. An added bonus today was the addition of some true ocean blues in the 10lb range which made for quite a bit of excitement and hi sport. Next 7am full day Jumbo Fluke/Sea bass boat sets sail tomorrow morning aboard the Gail Frances.
