Capt. Don reported a decent AM 1/2 trip this morning with some nice keeper fluke including a couple of 5lbrs and a nice mess of big sea bass and big scup. A bunch of the sea bass were in the 3lb range and on one drift rods were bent up and down the rail on big sea bass! Plenty of shorts to keep things going as well.

Capt. Mike reported a good day of fluking along the beach. The action was particularly good in the morning and then a tad slower in the afternoon. Some really nice fish today. Tom from Ct took the pool with a fine slab over 8lbs while Bob Lazure had a fish of 7lbs as part of his mixed bag of big fluke and jumbo sea bass including a sea bass around 4lbs. A special thanks to Bob's daughter Carlene who makes the best brownies ever!!! There was another fish just over 7lbs and a handful of others in the 4-6lb range plus a good number of quality keepers. Ron Dohan was hi hook with 5 keeper fluke today with a good number of other anglers getting 3-4 keepers each. Hi hooks for the day were in the 30s for total catch and just about everyone on the boat caught at least 10 fish apiece today as there was lots of action throughout the day. The big story of the day was young Billy Betitto from Johnstown, RI who caught a gargantuan 6.5lb humpback sea bass to go along with his fine catch of fluke and scup for the day. Some platter size scup once again and even a couple cocktail bluefish. Plus a dozen or so other good size sea bass. The ladies from Eastern Ct were back again today and enjoyed a beautiful day on the water, June bagged a fine 6lb fluke today! Way to go! Tandem bait rigs and hi lo rigs or hi lo bucktail/spro combinations were all winners today.

Capt. Rich reported a good day of fluke and sea bass fishing on the 7am Jumbo Fluke and Sea bass boat. Biggest fish of the day was 7.5lbs and there were a few other nice fish over 4lbs. It was a 50/50 split today with a modest group of anglers boated about 60 keeper fluke and 60 good size sea bass including a whopper of over 5lbs caught by one of the mate's today Capt. Cory Blount. A few other nice sea bass in the 3lb range. Just one bluefish today but most anglers left with a nice combination of fluke and sea bass and full bags of fresh fillets for the table. Hi hook on the keeper fluke was Po from NY who had a full limit while a few other anglers had 5 to 6 keepers each, while hi hooks on the sea bass had at least a half dozen apiece, longtime customer Dan Melino had 7 keeper seabass. Next 7am boat sets sail tomorrow morning and it will be aboard the Gail Frances.
