Thursday- morning Team Bay Flats welcomed EI & H Companies for a fishing retreat, 5-boat 21guest trip. Along with good boxes of trout, Captain TJ Christensen released 3 oversized reds and put his group a trip of lifetime. According to one angler on the boat "We had 4 reds on at a time, I kept saying red fish rodeo." Captain Harold put the Charlie T. party on full trout limits.

Thursday- afternoon we welcomed 19 guests with Good Company Restaurants, M Construction and MS Inc. for appetizers while serving Cajun style fried oysters and Chef Sherman's famous oyster dip.

Friday- morning I wade fished the MS Company with top waters and Norton lures. Our first stop produced 8 trout over sand in chest deep water. Our next stop was pay dirt with top water plugs casting to the windward side of an oyster reef near Mesquite Bay. Our last stop produced a score of 20" class trout. We finished the day with 23 trout. Captain TJ group with M Construction had full trout limits by 7:00 AM. The other 4 boats averaged double-digits. Captain Harold put Chris T. group on full limits of trout and reds fishing oyster shell with live bait.

Working pumpkinseed chartreuse Norton Sand Eels slowly across the bay floor accounted for 75% of our trout catch. I was using suffix braid, Shimano Core, and 6'6" Waterloo Slam Mag rod while wade fishing over hard sand with mix grass beds. A large percent of these trout were over 20-inches.

Friday- afternoon we welcomed MS Inc. 26-guest for a 6-boat trip on Saturday along with a 1-boat with Edith S. group. Reports to come.
